Have an ailment? Take a pill? If that pill gives you another ailment, take another pill. It’s a misconception that’s been around my entire lifetime. Trapped in a cycle of chronic pain and addiction, our modern society has truly reached a breaking point. How much are we willing to sacrifice for convenience? And are we tired of treating ailments without ever truly finding the cure?
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think medicine was initially created with some malicious intent to just sedate people. It was seen as advancement and innovation, scientists taking the world into their own hands and recreating to “serve” mankind. But just like industrialized agriculture, pharmaceuticals have turned into profit seeking entities - ie corporations. Today, prescription drugs are the 4th leading cause of death in America - all in the name of healing. The truth of the matter is, nature has always provided us with the best medicine - preventative and healing.
